Start with destination fit, not logos
A Paris concierge desk cannot magically operate Cappadocia balloons. Shortlist agencies whose profiles show recent work in your exact city and travel style—luxury, MICE, family, or adventure—not generic ‘Europe’ badges.
Ask for a sample day sheet with drive times, named guides, and ticket types. Vague ‘city tour’ language is a red flag whether you are a traveller or a host agency sourcing ground.
Reviews, response time, and contract clarity
Read recent reviews in your language. Measure how fast they answer a detailed brief—not a one-line quote request. Deposits, cancellation, and who meets clients at the airport should be written before money moves.
For trade partners, confirm commission or net-rate structure and whether one invoice covers all cities or partners take over mid-route.
When to add a second agency to the shortlist
Three competitive quotes are enough for FIT. More creates noise. Compare inclusions line by line: entries, guide hours, vehicle type, and emergency contact—not headline price alone.
